Honeywell Shelf & Floor Anti-Theft Safe for your Vacation Rental, $59
Like many other travelers, I nearly always use the in-room safe to protect my laptop computer and my valuables. Your guests would probably appreciate if they could use a safe to store their valuables while they stayed in your property.
The inside dimensions of the Honeywell 1.0 cubic foot safe is 12″H x 14.5″W x 9.75″D. The largest laptop computer in our family is 11″ x 12″ by 2″ thick. That means that there’s enough room in the Honeywell safe to lock up a couple of large laptops stacked on one another.
It’s important to note that this is NOT a fireproof safe. It’s a theft deterrent safe. You’ll bolt it to the floor or wall so that guests can safely store small items if they’re leaving your property for a while.
Unfortunately, the electronic keypad requires batteries or a key to operate. You’ll risk losing the keys if you let the guests hold them and you’ll likely get guest complaints if the batteries go dead and the guests don’t have access to the physical keys. Still, the price for this Honeywell safe is right if you think adding an anti-theft safe to your property will help you better satisfy your guests or get more reservations.
I don’t recall ever seeing a 1 cubic foot safe at such a low price of $59. This safe is not available in Wal-Mart stores, but shipping is only $10 to your doorstep, or you can buy the safe online and have it shipped for FREE to your local Walmart store.
